Best job advice I’ve gotten: The job is not going to love you back.
Also it’s strictly for safety purposes or unavoidable (like a call time for Acting or Flight crew ect) “On time is late” is TOTAL BS. On time is ON TIME. They love to preach about how “Time is money” but then only act like it applies to only them. YOUR TIME IS MONEY TOO! If I have a 5 minute window and I don’t need it to prep to do my job properly, you will see me exactly when my shift starts.
ALSO TAKE YOUR BREAKS AND LUNCHES AND VACATIONS, it’s part of your pay. TAKE IT.
